Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Black male that occurred at a courtyard.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marcel Gipson.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy

Other Significant Condition: Medical History of Polysubstance Abuse

RIP MARCEL GIPSON (July 24, 1979 – July 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:47 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
