(L.A.) Steve Tran, 55, Died at a Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Asian male that occurred at a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steve Tran.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine, Diabetes Mellitus

RIP STEVE TRAN (February 26, 1969 – July 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:17 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
