(L.A.) Stephen Butters, 56, Died in an Alley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Stephen Butters.

Manner of Death : Suicide

Manner of Death: Undetermined

Cause of Death: Multiple Traumatic Injuries

RIP STEPHEN BUTTERS (July 18, 1968 – July 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 10:26 a.m.

In February 2025, the Department of Medical Examiner changed their initial conclusion that this was a suicide. Investigators now say they are unable to conclude as to whether this was an accidental, suicidal or homicidal death.
