Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Melecia Gonzalez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Methamphetamine Effects

Other Significant Conditions: Congestive Heart Failure (On Home Oxygen Therapy) Due to Non-Ischemic Cardiomyopathy

RIP MELECIA GONZALEZ (August 25, 1988 – July 4, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:11 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early December.
