(L.A.) Mervin Whitfield, 63, Died in an RV

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Black male that occurred in a recreational vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mervin Whitfield.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP MERVIN WHITFIELD (July 14, 1960 – July 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.

This was either a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest.
