(L.A.) Diana Lomas, 52, Ended Her Life

Case Number: 2024-10307

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Diana Lomas.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Sertraline Toxicity

RIP DIANA LOMAS (August 17, 1971 – June 27, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:33 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in September, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) commonly prescribed for depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.

While it can be effective for many people, it’s important to be aware that SSRIs, including sertraline, can have side effects, including an increased risk of suicidal thoughts.
