(L.A.) Troy Quarles, 56, Died From a Coke OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Troy Quarles.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP TROY QUARLES (November 20, 1967 – June 27, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:09 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
