Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at an encampment.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Patrick McLaughlin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 10:44 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on August 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
