(L.A.) Brian Johnston, 51, Died From Polysubstance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Brian Johnston.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Alprazolam, Lidocaine, and Ethanol

RIP BRIAN JOHNSTON (June 15, 1972 – June 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polysubstance overdose.
