Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Marie Bennett.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Cocaine Toxicity

RIP MARIE BENNETT (March 31, 1968 – June 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 2:22 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early September, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
