A native coronary artery is the artery that naturally exists in the body to supply oxygenated blood to the heart muscle. It refers to the coronary arteries that are present from birth, as opposed to arteries that are surgically grafted or bypassed.

The main native coronary arteries are:

1. The right coronary artery (RCA) which supplies the bottom part of the heart.

2. The left main coronary artery (LM) which branches into:

  • The left anterior descending artery (LAD) supplying the front of the heart.
  • The circumflex artery (Cx) supplying the back of the heart.
