(L.A.) David Betton, 28, Died on Train Tracks

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old male that occurred on train tracks.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as David Betton. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Brown.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:00 a.m.

The decedent was fatally injured by a Metrolink train in Burbank.

Burbank PD said the incident happened at around 5:50 a.m. at the rail crossing at Buena Vista Street and Vanowen Street, along Metrolink’s Ventura County Line, which runs through Burbank to Union Station.

The train, which was traveling south at the time, slowed to a stop following the collision. There were no reported injuries to the train’s passengers.
