Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 81-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Giles.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Cocaine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:08 p.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early June, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
This may be the oldest fentanyl death in the county yet.
