(L.A.) Christina Smith, 35, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Christina Smith.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Drowning

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Cocaine and Ethanol

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Had been posted as Jane Doe #130 on April 14 with no date of birth. Identified by name with age on April 22.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on August 6, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

Both cocaine and alcohol impair decision-making abilities. Additionally, the combination affects coordination and motor skills, making it difficult to keep one’s head above water.
