(L.A.) Owen Brandano, 15, Died From Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the teen as Owen Brandano.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methylenedioxymethamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:13 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, more commonly known as MDMA, is a synthetic drug known for its stimulant and empathogenic effects. It’s often associated with recreational use in party or rave settings, where it is sometimes referred to as “Ecstasy” or “E.”
