Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Black male that occurred in transitional housing.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Stephen Penn.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

RIP STEPHEN PENN (March 20, 1960 – April 6, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 5:53 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 8.
