The coroner’s office identified the teenage girl as Shaylee Mejia.

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Blunt-Force Head Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:59 a.m.

The decedent was in a fight at Manual Arts High School on March 5. She suffered a brain hemorrhage that was detected only several days after the incident.
