Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gilbert Esqueda.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Alcohol Toxicity

RIP GILBERT ESQUEDA (October 18, 1992 – March 15, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:25 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 6, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
