Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Latino male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Aureliano Gonzales-Atlahua.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Drowning

RIP AURELIANO GONZALES-ATLAHUA (May 22, 1989 – February 14, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:10 a.m.

The decedent was found lifeless in a riverbed.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.

Atlahua is a distinctly Mexican surname.
