Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Latino male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mario Rivera Sr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Heroin Toxicity

RIP MARIO RIVERA SR. (October 5, 1963 – March 2, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 10:15 a.m.

The government investigator added the “Sr.” to the decedent’s name in August, when the medical examiner’s COD ruling was disclosed.
