(L.A.) Dean Jackson, 60, Died in a Hospital/Polyclinic

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital/polyclinic.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Dean Jackson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Septic Shock

Cause of Death B: Necrotizing Fasciitis of the Right Leg

Cause of Death C: Cellulitis

Cause of Death D: Intravenous Drug Use

RIP DEAN JACKSON (January 1, 1964 – January 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 6:36 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is ultimately considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
