(L.A.) Alafia Robinson, 52, Died From Meth Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Black male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alafia Robinson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Morbid Obesity

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP ALAFIA ROBINSON (December 25, 1971 – February 14, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 4:02 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 5, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
