Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Anthony Mendiaz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Cardiomyopathy

Cause of Death B: Effects of Myocardial Infarction

Cause of Death C: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Diabetes Mellitus; Right Ocular Trauma with Orbital Fracture

RIP ANTHONY MENDIAZ (August 17, 1981 – January 7, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:50 a.m.

This is considered an accident because of the fracture of the bone around his right eye.
