Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Latino male that occurred in a tent.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose De Leon Argueta.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Intoxication

RIP JOSE DE LEON ARGUETA (July 7, 1987 – January 30, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:09 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
