(L.A.) Shitao Liu, 31, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Asian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Shitao Liu.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Heart Disease

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Tobacco Smoking and Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP SHITAO LIU (December 25, 1991 – December 3, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:45 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
