(L.A.) Victor Gonzalez, 44, Died in Montebello

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in Montebello.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Victor Gonzalez of Whittier.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 12:15 a.m.

Officers from the Montebello Police Department had responded to the 1600 block of Neil Armstrong Street and Marketplace Drive late Thursday, right before midnight.

The district attorney’s office decided it was a self-defense by the shooter and declined to file criminal charges.
