(L.A.) Joseph Dursma, 61, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joseph Dursma.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:20 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 17, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.

Metoprolol, sold under the brand name Lopressor among others, is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain due to poor blood flow to the heart, and a number of conditions involving an abnormally fast heart rate.
