Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Justin Mays.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP JUSTIN MAYS (January 13, 1994 – November 14, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:45 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 26, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
