(L.A.) Robin Wartell, 61, Died From a Polydrug OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Robin Wartell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine, Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:57 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 4, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
