Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred in a healthcare service.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edwin Boj.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Amitriptyline Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis; Epilepsy

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:44 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 1, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive.

Amitriptyline is used to treat symptoms of depression.
