The coroner’s office has identified the man as Chaiyarit Jarukaruta.

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP CHAIYARIT JARUKARUTA (February 29, 1948 – October 8, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:30 a.m. though the decedent appears to have actually passed before midnight, allowing his date of death to be posted as October 7, 2023.

Known by his English name Steve Jarukaruta, he is survived by his wife and children.
