Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Nevarez. Born in L.A. County.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:57 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 26, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
