(L.A.) Lionel Taplin, 57, Died in a Walkway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old Black male that occurred in a walkway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Lionel Taplin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Phencyclidine and Alcohol Effects

RIP LIONEL TAPLIN (October 28, 1965 – September 7, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 4:05 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 27, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the PCP.

This was an accidental drug overdose.
