(L.A.) Jose Avila, 34, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Avila.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Complications of Chronic Ethanol Use

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP JOSE AVILA (May 12, 1989 – August 28, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:20 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 12, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
