(L.A.) Michael Lee, 24, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Asian male that occurred in a hotel.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Michael Lee.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Sodium Nitrite Toxicity

RIP MICHAEL LEE (September 2, 1998 – July 20, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 18, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the substance.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Michael Lee” in public records.
