(L.A.) Gary Mullarney, 45, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on the San Diego (404) Freeway in Sherman Oaks.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gary Mullarney. Born in Fresno County. Mother’s maiden name is Richardson.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 7:35 a.m.

The decedent apparently had himself get hit by traffic on purpose.

Paramedics were sent to the northbound freeway near Ventura Boulevard about 7:15 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
