(L.A.) David Catalan Zaldana, 44, Died in a Hotel/Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hotel/motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as David Catalan Zaldana.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Ethanol

RIP DAVID CATALAN ZALDANA (February 13, 1979 – July 16, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:25 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 29, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental overdose.
