(L.A.) Erik Sosa, 46, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Erik Sosa.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP ERIK SOSA (July 12, 1976 – July 7, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:16 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 13, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

At some point, the medical examiner changed the place of death from private residence to a sidewalk.
