(L.A.) Luis Arsila Diaz, 70, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Hispanic male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Luis Diaz.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:38 p.m.

Local government authorities had the decedent’s body cremated on October 19. In the cremation report, his race was mistakenly listed him as White.

His middle name is spelled in the records of the Department of Medical Examiner as Arsila, and not the common spelling Arcila.

He was a sex offender who was convicted of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age. His conviction appeared to have been from before the year 1996.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Luis Diaz” in public records.
