Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Yancarlos Santiago.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound to the Back
RIP YAN CARLOS SANTIAGO (February 10, 1992 – May 30, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:22 p.m.

An 83-year-old man is suspected of fatally shooting a 31-year-old man in the parking lot outside a grocery store in Westchester.
The older man got into an altercation with the younger man in the parking lot of an Amazon Fresh store in the 6800 block of La Cienega Boulevard near Centinela Avenue and the border with Inglewood at around 4:05 p.m.
The suspect was arrested late Tuesday afternoon.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The medical examiner had initially posted teh victim’s forenmae as “Yancarlos.”
