(L.A.) Paul Sebastian Manangan, 16, Died in Baldwin Park

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the teenager as Paul Sebastian Manangan.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Sharp-Force Injuries

The surname “Manangan” is most associated with individuals of Filipino descent.

Three victims were fatally stabbed by an assailant in Baldwin Park.

They were identified by the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s office as Rona Nate (44), Paul Manangan (16) and Mia Narvaez (8).

Baldwin Park Police Department officers had responded at 6:48 p.m. to the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue, between Maine and Phelan avenues, where they found the victims.

Each suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper body and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the killings. He had tried to drive away from the scene but was detained. The suspect was determined to be related to the victims and a resident of the home. He was arrested and booked at the Baldwin Park Police Department.

UPDATE: Kyle Chester De Los Reyes is set to be arraigned on January 15 in a Pomona courtroom on three counts of murder. He appears to be the oldest son of Rona Nate.

According to an online fundraising page, Rona “Ronz” Nate was the mother of Paul “Basti” Manangan and Mia Narvaez.

Three people were found dead from stab wounds inside a Baldwin Park home Thursday evening, prompting a death investigation by the Baldwin Park Police Department with assistance from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau.

Baldwin Park PD and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:48 pm. regarding a disturbance in the neighborhood of the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue.

Two females and one male were pronounced deceased at the scene.

All three victims suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper body and were found inside a residence. UPDATE: The person of interest was booked for murder on Friday.
