Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Black male in the Vermont Knolls / Harvard Park area.
The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Jae’Den Reese Nicholson.

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 3:44 a.m.
The decedent was killed during an attempted robbery in South L.A.
Four suspects apparently tried to snatch the chain around the decedent’s neck before shots were fired.
LAPD responsded to 7126 Western Avenue by Florence Avenue at 12:38 a.m.
