Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Lamont Johnson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Hypertensive Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Cocaine and History of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseaes and Chronic Tobacco Use

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
