(L.A.) Quang Khuu, 71, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 71-year-old Asian male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Quang Khuu.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

RIP QUANG KHUU (July 7, 1951 – November 11, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 7:59 a.m.

The decedent’s name appears to be Vietnamese.

He was the pedestrian killed in Alhambra after being hit by a van near Marengo Avenue and Valley Boulevard. The accident happened at around 7:50 a.m.

Despite efforts by firefighters and paramedics, he died at the scene.

The van’s driver did not flee and he cooperated with authorities in their investigation. Neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the crash.
