The coroner’s office has identified the man as Raymond Nevarez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding

Cause of Death B: Laennec’s Cirrhosis (Clinical History)

Other Significant Conditions: Drug (Heroin) Use; Hepatitis C; Diabetes Mellitus (History)

Laënnec cirrhosis is primarily caused by excessive and chronic alcohol consumption.
