(L.A.) Michael Romo Sandoval, 10, Died in Chatsworth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 10-year-old Hispanic male.

The coroner’s office identified the child as Michael Romo Sandoval, resident of Gresham Street in Canoga Park.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Ligature Strangulation

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:29 p.m.

The decedent was killed by his father Jose Romo Guerra in a murder-suicide.

Police and paramedics were called to the 21000 block of Plummer Street in Chatsworth at around 8:30 p.m., after family members discovered the pair inside a vehicle.

Both had been reported missing by family members earlier in the day.

The vehicle had to be forced open and both father and son removed from the rear seat, where they were evaluated by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics and pronounced dead.
