(L.A.) Eric Wolfring, 61, Died in a Garage

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a garage.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Erik Wolfring. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Williams.

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:47 a.m.

The medical examiner’s database had listed the decedent’s forename as Erik, with a K. His birth record shows, however, that he was given the name Eric, with a C.

Update: On March 31, the ME finally corrected the spelling from Erik to Eric.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 2, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
