(L.A.) Jason Martinez, 24, Died in Pomona

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Latin American male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Jason Martinez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:32 a.m.

The decedent was dropped off at the hospital by a private vehicle.

Assumed shooting location: Holt & East End avenues, Pomona 91767

He appears to have been shot in the back. The entry wound could have been in the back, with the bullet traveling through the thoracic cavity and causing lethal damage in the chest.
