(L.A.) Taylor Kawashima, 23, Died on a Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Asian female that occurred on a freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Taylor Kawashima.

Manner and cause of death have not yet been determined; the information will be added to this page as soon as it becomes available.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

California Highway Patrol was informed at 6:10 a.m. of a collision involving a silver SUV. Witnesses also saw a gray four-door sedan on its side on the right shoulder. As of 10:06 a.m., everyone was still waiting for the “coroner” — the investigator from the Department of Medical Examiner still hadn’t arrived.
