(L.A.) William Hasley, 78, Died on a Trail

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 78-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a trail in the Hollywood Hills West area.

The coroner’s office identified the man as William Hasley.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Cardiomegaly, Adenovirus and Parainfluenza 3 (Nasopharyngeal)

RIP WILLIAM HASLEY (July 1947 – June 6, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday night.

The decedent was Caitlyn Jenner’s ghostwriter. He apparently passed away as he was hiking in the area north of Nichols Canyon Road, near Runyon Canyon Park. His body was found lifeless at around 7:00 p.m.
